What do you hope to express with this song?
With this song I hope to paint a picture and give the listener a little background on Boyle Heights, its purpose, humble beginnings, and a better understanding of its significance to many of us. The streets are not just paved with concrete but with childhood memories, generations of hope, sacrifice and dreams for many that passed through. A place many communities have called home for generations that won’t easily be forgotten.
