I went out for a walk and suddenly I realized how there were Danzantes practicing in Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights. It was interesting to see how families who participate in danza seek an alternative to practice what they like and their traditions. In this time of pandemic, I was astonished to see that practicing families bring their children, including a girl who joins in the dance. It is nice to know and see that there are people in the community who do not forget their traditions and more in these difficult times. — Eva Garcia
