Karwanna Dyson, an entrepreneur, motivational speaker, business coach and artist, weaves her childhood experiences in the Bayview into a commitment to give back to the community that raised her. With optimism based in activism and furthering education, Karwanna provides places to gather for artists and skill-building tools for the community, while also creating non-profit organizations. During her interview, she recites a double Dutch rhyme and, as a hip-hop artist, performs Erykah Badu’s “Bag Lady.”
