During his conversation with Martha, he talks about his memories in Boyle Heights, how it has changed, his musical influences, and favorite places around the neighborhood.
What are your first memories of Boyle Heights?
"I remember my grandmother, and my great grandmother, they would take me to the Evergreen Cemetery because that's where my great great grandparents and great uncles and aunts were buried there....and I remember going to the flower shop right across from the street of the cemetery. Very, very young, we just loved this area I guess."
