What is the goal of the community land trust initiative (FCTL)?
"Our goal is to strengthen the health of our community and to cultivate more relationships where we want to take care of each other, support each other, and grow together. And most importantly, to change the culture of our community, where we practice more cooperation and more mutual support. It creates more strength so that we can achieve the other goals that are more material, like affordable housing."
"Land, housing, and living conditions have always been controlled by the bosses of jobs, the owners of buildings, and the industries that pollute our community and that exploit our family. So we are saying enough of that. Give us the necessary resources so that we can be the ones who create the destiny of our community. We want control of the land. We want to control the housing. We want to create jobs for ourselves.
