Through the Sounds of California, ACTA has focused particular attention on how stories of migration and immigration are embedded and archived within music, sound, and social practice. This thread is weaved together by songs and personal testimonies that contextualize the journeys of elders and ancestors, bringing to light the ways they have shaped, and have been shaped by, their destination and  departure.
